My wife and I grew up in Santa Cruz. After completing medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, Orthopedic Residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco and a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Los Angeles, I am honored to have returned to my hometown with my family where I can provide for the community that helped raise me.
I believe in individualized care through comprehensive evaluation and patient-specific treatment designed to help my patients maintain an active, pain-free lifestyle. I educate my patients regarding the diagnostic process, their unique problem, their treatment options and recovery. Central to my approach is my firm belief that knowledgeable patients make the best decisions about their treatment and can help guide the diagnostic and treatment process. I employ both non-surgical and operative approaches using leading techniques to provide my patients with the best orthopedic care possible.
I am a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. I have written scientific publications on various orthopedic conditions and I am currently conducting several research projects on injuries related to competitive surfing. As an avid surfer, I have first-hand knowledge of the unique demands of athletes. I believe that this insight, combined with my experience, translates into better patient care.
Please let me know if there is anything we can do at OrthoNorCal to enhance your experience. I am currently accepting new patients and I look forward to meeting you!
